Many people and some other Tea Party groups will say, "Hey, not so fast! How come your group, the Fire Ants, are taking the lion's share of the credit?" Simply, the Tea Party Fire Ants deserve it. I state the following not to brag for our group (although there is some of that in celebratory fashion tonight, to be sure), but to show all Tea Party Groups what the trolls attacking the Fire Ants are terrified you may find out: you have power, and we have proven it can work. First with the Fox News Turn Right boycott (driving Fox down 22% for not obeying the will of it's viewers as legal boycotts are wont to do) and now the upcoming vote for a Benghazi Select Committee. Read and look carefully. This is how it's done.
I will phrase it thus to drive the point home, as an example of effective conservative activism that YOU must do: Name one other group that
1. waged a non-stop campaign on Twitter where for every night - every night - for almost a year and a half demanding Congress have a Select Committee to investigate Benghazi? Wolf's HRes36 languished for a couple of months with 30 initial co-sponsors. It is now at 190 and has not grown even by one since Twitter suspended several Fire Ants, the causes for the suspensions remain unknown (see the blog post beneath this one - we feel certain the motivation on San Francisco-based Twitter's part was political). Thus proves what Rep Wolf seems to know: the lion's share for this moment for a Benghazi select committee must in all fairness, if any group can be singled out, must go to the Fire Ants - the timing of when the House Reps signed on and the circumstances show the causation to be plain. Coincidences don't work that precisely.
Every night Fire Ants, invariably led by Kathy Amidon - although I subbed for twice (and it isn't easy) - went after at least 40 GOP House Reps every night. That usually took two-to-three hours every night. For over a year. Even on Christmas Eve and Night some of us stayed the course to make a statement. Every single day and Kathy and some others have been online representing the Fire Ants on this for as much as 10-14 hours a day, all for Benghazi Truth. Know another group that did that? I didn't think so.
2. This blog produced for the "Twitter Tea Party Fire Ant Nightly swarms" literally hundreds of pieces of art about needing a select committee and the call for the Missing Survivor Witnesses - the latter of which is in no way resolved by the fact that there will be a select committee. We still want to know where those 33 people are and what they saw - and so should you. Know another group that produced that much media? I didn't think so.
3. Really, to confirm the above two points, the Tea Party Fire Ants has earned a staggering three unsolicited thank you letters from Congressman Frank Wolf, whose HRes36 for a Benghazi Select Committee, probably an unprecedented number up to this point for an activist group in one year (and make no mistake, we will now continue to push Rep Rice's HRes442 to take Obama to court for congressional overreach - for which he has already sent us one thank you letter for being instrumental in taking the number of congressional co-sponsors from 35 to 130 in a few short months). If trolls tell you the Fire Ants had nothing do with a Benghazi select Committee - and they have already started in with that bill on our Twitter hashtag #TPFA so you won;t follow the example - don't hesitate to say: "Congressman Frank Wolf says the Tea Party Fire Ants had a lot to do with this moment!"
We will present more details and what the Fire Ants will be doing to help the Select Committee keep its bearings in the coming days. But for now, let's take a walk down memory lane for the last year and a half. It's been a hell of a ride.
Thank you to all Tea Party Fire Ants #TPFA and friends for making this - probably historic - moment happen! God bless you all!
A SMALL example of the last 17 months. We could fill 100 pages with these kinds of things:
.... And now, on with the Benghazi Select Committee!
